Did you ever get the new pillows you ordered? I wonder if that would help with the leaks any?

Nah, but I found out they are due either today or tomorrow.

Really hoping something can help as I do like this mask in general if I could get the leaks settled down from blasting me mid-mrng / pre-alarm.

Here's the waveform data from the troubling episode that was approaching mrng but before awaking as far as I can recall.

Any ideas on this:?

Looks like REM sleep which would go along with the Zeo stuff and your history as well.
Though...the Zeo obviously is having trouble at sleep onset unless you go immediately to REM when you start the machine.
Maybe some supine sleeping thrown in for fun.

Yea, I believe the ZEO is off a bit and doing that mix up of Awake vs REM at the beginning but I tend to believe the later stages of the reports regarding REM and the cycles as I can't recall being awake anytime during those.

I have had the same experience when it comes to more events and the need for higher pressure. I just got a hybrid mask about 5 days ago, and it's been strange. I've had to increase the pressure from 7 to 9, and I am still having more events and the results are worse than my nasal pillow. I don't get it really. Oddly, I felt better when I first used the hybrid mask, but now I feel worse than with the nasal pillow. I think I need more time to see a true trend, but results are not what I expected. Time will tell.

Interesting and thanks for writing about your experience. I switched to the "Bella loop - Swift Fx" Nasal pillows for last night. Slept ok other than I woke up at 3 something AM in a very hot bedroom 77 degrees. I screwed up and tweaked the thermostat up in the house earlier to 70 and forgot keeping my bedroom door shut to ward off the cat from attacking my hose, it must have overheated the bedroom with it being in the center of my home.

AHI was back down to 1. something with the pillows and I think the highest pressure increase was around 10.5 or so. Can't say I feel too great with 5 hrs sleep though but I couldn't get back to bed knowing the alarms would be going off in 3 1/2 hrs anyhow.

Not sure if it will be the nasal pillows or Quattro FX for tonight. Guess I'll flip a coin, although I would like to gather more data with the Quattro FX and whilst I'm in the 30 day tryout.

Nah, but I found out they are due either today or tomorrow.

Really hoping something can help as I do like this mask in general if I could get the leaks settled down from blasting me mid-mrng / pre-alarm.
I'll be curious to see how you like them. I'm still trying to get just the right amount of hulls in my buckwheat pillow to get it comfortable.

Oh. I did get those sobukawa <-spelling? pillows and tried one out last night. It feels nice and solid yet soft and squishy and was very comfortable. One night hard to tell plus I had switched off to the nasal pillows so will see how it fairs with the Quattro FX FFM. I should have probably spent the extra $$ and got the Queen size because the standard is a bit smaller than I'm used to but will probably be ok. I'll update after a night with the Quattro FX with the new pillow!

I use a standard size Sobakawa pillow with my Quattro FX and have had excellent results. If you're a back sleeper, you sleep with you head in the center portion and it cradles your head. For side sleepers, you can sleep on the edge of the pillow where it's firmer so the mask doesn't come in contact with the pillow. One thing to be careful of is make sure you don't poke a hole in the pillow. I did accidentally with the first one I got (tried tearing off the tag and the seam split open) and the tiny little beads were everywhere. Returned it to Bed Bath and Beyond and got a replacement, left the tag in place and sleeping great with it!

Hey those sound pretty nice! I'm having a hard time 'fine-tuning' my buckwheat pillow. Too many hulls and it's like laying my head on a rock. Too few hulls and it's not high enough to be comfortable. I think I just need to remove a few more and I'll be there, but I sure envy you the soft and squishy feeling!

Lazer try another FFM. I have not kept up with all your threads so maybe you have but my experience with the quattro fx (in putting it on pts and getting their feedback) is just like yours ....lots of leaks around the top that are hard to control.
I like the quattro ffm (not fx).
About the higher pressure with the FFM-I have not seen that before. I would think it would be the opposite since many pts complain that the nasal pillows create a "jet stream" type of effect on the pressure whereas the FFM seem to "dilute" the pressure a bit before the pt has to inhale.

Good luck and keep us posted
