SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
Thanks for the quick reply - sounds like I have some work todo with my DME to try and get a data capable machine. I just got diagnosed and have had the machine for less than 2 weeks
Kind Regards.

Thanks ... that fixed the problem and I was able to read my SD card.rich0 wrote:Since it seems to be taking a while to get an official SleepyHead release out, I went ahead and built a windows version that includes Series 60 support based on Keary Griffin's patch. I'd recommend switching back to the official version with auto-updates once it is available. To use it, first install the current version of SleepyHead. Then download this file:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/thefreemanclan ... pyHead.zip Unzip it and overwrite the sleepyhead.exe file in program files with the new one. You should now be able to import series 60 data.
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
I thought i'd try sleepyhead with my machine
version is 0.9.1
it identifies my machine as Philips Respironics System One RemStar Auto with A-Flex (560P)
sleepyhead tried to do an update to 0.9.2 but that failed, download error
0.9.1 it will not import any data, even though i only specified the root and not the folder level down to where i see the data.
I tried the patch file which wont start because mingwn10.dll is missing blah blah blah
I'm done.

If you are really done and don't want to pursue it then I won't try to talk you into it but I know what the problem is.Uncle_Bob wrote:0.9.1 it will not import any data, even though i only specified the root and not the folder level down to where i see the data.

But I will put the fix here just in case someone else comes along with similar frustrations.
1....version 9.1 means the first update failed likely because you have Windows Vista or newer. Windows Security is blocking the update. Right click your mouse over SleepyHead Icon and choose "run as administrator" SleepyHead will then open and the update will install and the version will be 0.9.2-1. If this wasn't a 60 series machine you could stop right here.
2. The missing dll message.. that is because you are trying to double click on it to run SH and it doesn't have all the other files to go along with it. The Patch file is nothing but a new application exe file and you have to replace the old application exe file in the main SleepyHead folder with the Patch file. On pages 3 and 4 of this thread I have instructions with pictures on how to do it.
3. Once the new Patch file is in the folder...close SH...open it again using the run as administrator command again..and see if the final update will go through automatically or manually go get it.
Final version should be 0.9.3
Some people have needed to reboot the computer to get the final version.
Anyone reading this and haven't already installed SleepyHead...If you will install SH under the "run as administrator" umbrella the failed update won't happen. This has nothing to do with your usual user account administrator rights.
So it saves a bit of aggravation because we tend to forget the "run as administrator" thing with updates.
This is for Windows Vista or newer. Doesn't seem to be a problem with older Windows OS.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
For a newbie like me, this forum is great. I came to it as I just had my first night on a Bipap machine last night after two sleep studies. On the first one determined my baseline AHI at 102, average o2 88 percent, low o2 76 percent. The first night, they tried a CPAP machine on me about halfway through the night but they said they couldn't get good results with it. They had me come back a second night, and I ended up getting a prescription with the result of a a Bipap machine, Resmed System 1 660P, settings Ipap 16 and Epap 11. I used it for the first night last night, and slept pretty good I thought given the full face mask liked to leak into my eye sockets. Upon awaking, the machine indicated and AHI of 16.5 when I checked it in the am.
I next came to this forum while searching for information on what my AHI meant as I was under the understanding I wanted something less than 5, I got on these forums, learned it was indeed high and I decided to look deeper into what was going on so I downloaded sleepyhead, used auto update, then installed the patch ending up with ver 9.2.3. Sleepyhead will now download data from the memory card, but I get crazy AHI numbers of several thousand, and a straight line graph rather than flags for incidents. Only about a third of the graphs seem to populate with data, and my results look nothing like the samples I see posted.
What's next? Am I just missing a step somewhere or will Sleepyhead not read my particular machines data? Do I need Encore basic? if so where do I find it? Thanks in advance, as in reading and researching I can see this is a very informative forum.

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
Thank you so much for the help. I was sure I had copied the patch right, but I evidently messed up somehow. Then again, after 54 years of practice, I haven't even got sleeping down to a science yet. My version of sleepyhead now says version 9.3 and it appears to be working correctly. Once I think I've figured out what all the information means, I'll probably post in a new thread for verification. If I understand it correctly though it appears the machine is saying most of my Apneas are central (Non Obstructed)
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
Thanks Pugsy, I tried again since I thought it would be rude not to after you posted the instructions.Pugsy wrote: If you are really done and don't want to pursue it then I won't try to talk you into it but I know what the problem is.
I had sleepyhead working with my S9, now with the series 60 I am at version 9.3 beta and the graphs are now unreadable

Man, those aliens are sure messing with you aren't they?Uncle_Bob wrote:I am at version 9.3 beta and the graphs are now unreadable
You aren't alone with the whacko graphs. The Patch is still buggy for some people and I don't know why.
I don't know what is causing those graphs to do that...Seen it mainly in the BiPap 60 series reports though not the 560.
You don't by any chance have Mask Resistance setting set on something besides 0 do you?

yes Sherlock resistance is at +1 for the wisp mask that I am trying.
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
I can't promise anything...but try setting it Mask Resistance to 0 tonight and see if the report graphs are still whacko tomorrow.Uncle_Bob wrote: yes Sherlock resistance is at +1 for the wisp mask that I am trying.
Mask Resistance to 0 has helped some people. I can't promise anything but I need another guinea pig with whacko graphs and using Mask Resistance at something other than 0 to test a theory that I have. It's just a theory...hunch and I could be all wet (again).
But it has cleared up 2 people with whacko graphs and I haven't had enough guinea pigs to give it a good test.

Machine: PR S1 Auto BiPAP 760P on Bilevel - -
Computer: Mac Mini - OS 10.8.3 - -
SleepyHead: v0.9.2-3 - -
I tried the patch from early January for the 60 series. However, my PR S1 is only a month old and there clearly is a data problem. For example, on one night my AHI was 3,771.63. All of the data on all of the nights is also way off. I compared it to the DME reports from Encore as well. Way off - it looks like the patch needs some updating... Thanks much, and, SleepyHead looks great, by the way. Can't wait to really use it.

Where did you find a Mac patch from January?Wakanda wrote:I tried the patch from early January for the 60 series.
Here's a Mac build with the Series 60 patches, up through the Feb 11 commit to fix the "code 0 issue on Series 60." That was the latest change I saw.
Just drag the SleepyHead.app into your applications folder. Since this is largely untested, you should probably make a backup of any existing SleepyHead.app in case you encounter problems.
Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
Mark & Rich,
Thanks so much. This compile compares perfectly with an Encore report. Looks like you shaved 14 megs out of there, too. Way to go - very much appreciated. (You might want to tell folks that they need to delete old data and re-import.)
Thanks,
Wakanda

Re: SleepyHead Series 60 Patch Avail
I just downloaded and applied the 0.9.3 patch to SleepyHead in the attempt to import my SD data.
My CPAP machine is a new 460P running 3.03 code. That the basic Resprironics REmStar Pro with Cflex+. I browse to the SD card and find the P0 directory but Sleepyhead still says no data found.
Any thoughts.
Thank you in advance.
