I don't go back any more. I screwed up my CPAP pressure and got really sick once. I think I'm doing it right and know a lot more now.
It's a risk to do it on your own. Not everyone has the geek/tech skills to do it on their own.
However, as a lot of folks here have found, regular visits to the CPAP doctor don't always help, either.

I have to see my sleep doc in December at 90 days as part of the compliance part for the insurance.
After that, I'm not sure what their requirements are.

I see my neurologist (original sleep dr was pulmonary, got sent to neurologist after 3 sleep tests in a row) every 4-6 months. Not always for apnea follow-up, but he always has me bring my card & he downloads data each time. I have other problems he sees me for (MS, seizures, meneires), but we have an 'apnea' discussion once a year. Sounds like I might be seeing him too much?
