New nasal pillow mask
New nasal pillow mask
I received a new nasal pillow mask yesterday the Swift FX medium pillows. I slept well but my leak rate went up a tad 0.2 I know that is a great number but I had 0 leaks with the Opus 360. I like the feel of the swift FX much better could not tell I had it on. When I line up the pillows to my nostrils they hit a little towards the inner edge of my nostril opening. Shouldn't they clear the openings and go straight in? My provider did not give me all sizes that come with the mask. So I am wandering if the large size would be better? I think I am to much of a perfectionist with all this, my numbers are great so I just need a little advise.

You should have received all three pillow sizes with your mask - S, M & L. Go back to your DME and ask for the others so you can try them and see what works best for you.
I use the same mask, and despite having a very small nose and nostrils, I use a medium pillow as it's the most comfortable.
I'm thinking of trying an Opus 360, as my DME won't order the SleepWeaver Elan for me and they don't have the Aloha yet.

You are correct. I have the Swift FX too. I love the mask. I have been trying to determine what size is best for me. I am able to use the small or medium. However, I switched back to the medium lastnight and had the best night thus far in the week I have had the machine. I prefer the medium pillows because the base is a bit larger and cushions against my nose better, and also provides a better seal I think. I would definately make sure you het the other size masks.. and then once you find what fits bestt, you can just reorder that size.xenablue wrote:You should have received all three pillow sizes with your mask - S, M & L. If you can't get hold of large pillows send me a pm with you mailing address and I'll send/give you the new one I have that came with my mask, too big for me I can only use the medium.
