Says who?
And why not?
I really dislike the attitude that has people defending poor spelling and grammar and denigrating those who point it out or correct it. This is a text-based medium and text is already notorious for misinterpretation due to communication relying so heavily on visual and tonal cues. Clarity is an important aspect of forum-based communication and maintaining and encouraging certain minimum standards should be an important part of the culture of the community.

I don't believe that position is exclusive to Doc K.
AAMOF, with 25-33% of the NPSG (depending on the software package) devoted to that, it's pretty much EVERYBODY's position.
Or should be.
It's not just
"The Number" (AHI).

Course, once you go to HST, ALL of that is usually thrown out the window (with exceptions, like PAT, some guys put an EEG lead in there, etc.).

Delta Dave,
Believe it or not, my current sleep doctor seemed quite puzzled when in response to how many hours of sleep I was averaging, I said I was concerned about quality and not the number. It seemed to throw him for a loop.

And sadly, that's probably more the rule than the exception.
OSA assembly line.
I've adopted somewhat of a religious position on this.
We should kill 'em all and let God sort out The Good from The Bad.
