Don't like the finger ones on my finger, always come off. Light and low profile.

How important is it to have an oximeter when you'er using a apap with data info on how you'er breathing? New to this board and this device. What might this meter catch that won't be appereant with ResScan?/

It tells the oxygen saturation of your blood, which tells if your pap therapy is working. They also give heart rate and some the pleth waveform. I like the features on the N-600X.

Is it an overnight recording oximeter? Does it come with software?

It records up to 48 hrs of data which you can review on the screen without having to use a computer. You can have the SpO2 and pulse displayed along with from 30 mins to 48 hrs of history graphed for one or both at the same time as well. You can print graphs or data in ASCII to computer but would need to find the cable for it. I like the "Satseconds" alarm feature if you want to use an alarm as it takes into account the time of desat as well as the magnitude so you don't have to get disturbed for short deviations. http://www.covidien.com/rms/pages.aspx? ... &product=3 Scroll down to N600X. One bad feature is the little green ac power light is not dimmable ... covered it with a piece of electrical tape.

I'll keep y write recording pulse ox. You know you can get different probes. I like the soft rubber one...but if I was sensitive I would get the pediatric which can be taped on.
