Hoffrichter Trend II Software

Post by stero » Wed Oct 03, 2012 12:07 pm

Today I got my new CPAP device, a Heinen und Loewenstein VIVA II which is obviously a branded Hoffrichter Trend II. It's got a SD Card. Ist there any software available to read and evaluate the data? Hoffrichter refuses to sell their SW to non Medical persons... anyway they are far to expensive 3500 Euros

Thanks for your help!

Take a thumb drive to your doctor's office; and a large pan of brownies.
Sorry I can't be more help!

Buy your equipment that allows you to meet your needs. Without the software your health is at risk, knowing what's going on with your treatment is necessary. Jim

Maybe you can share the data files with some computer geeks in your local Hackerspace.
Goofproof: OP is in Germany--I suspect he has few options.

Well, I am suffering from german rules.... the helth insurance pays for the device, so they make the choice... and they say: see the doctor for data assesment. They dont care that i have a job and cant take half a day of frequently...
The Manufacturer does not sell the software to non medicat persons.

Thats absolut bullsh... but german rules...

It is YOUR health--what's it worth to you?
'Free' is often worth every penny you pay.

you're so f..right.

We've got a wonderful Healthcare system here in Germany... it provides lots of advatages... but unfortunately some disadvatages... anyway, although I tend to complain about the system its very good.
The problem is that the "community" of the germans are not used to challenge their Health Service providers and the "system"... we're lazy because the system is too god and makes us lazy and unable to communicate our needs... or complain... its evern worse: we lost the ability to realize our hunan needs...

well, guess thats typically germen?!?!?

I did a search on Google and found a couple of sites in the UK that have the manuals. You might be able to get at least some of the information you need from them. Also, if you spend a bit more time searching you may find someone has written some software for your particular machine. Good luck!

Again, Hacker spaces and Maker spaces are worldwide.
Community workshops promote independence and creativity.
They are an excellent resource if you can find them.

I realize your limits with FREE health care, here in the U.S, we are on the fast track to socialism, soon we will catch up. We don't have to worry about having better German engineering, our machines will all be made in China. Jim
