I used a generic of Lunesta for the first couple months to help me fall asleep more soundly.
I currently use the generic of Remeron. That's an antidepressant that has a known side effect of making folks drowsy and tends to promote better sleep architecture. But I use that due to problems with my sleep without it.
So, in your shoes, I would use the medication for the first few weeks at least to help you be in a better frame of mind to adjust to the ASV unit. It helped me. But I was also very desperate for sleep, so it did not take a lot of convincing to get me adjusted to ASV therapy. .. 8^)

What are the opinions on replacing my 1mg dosage at night of Clonazepam with this drug? Is it considered less sleep disruptive & less addictive than the benzos?avi123 wrote:Taking only a small dose (5 mg) of Zolpidem, to fall asleep, sounds ok to me.
CAUTION
Withdrawal From Zolpidem

Note: I would still be taking 2x 1mg Clonazepam during the day (Morning & Afternoon) for Anxiety.
My goal: Step down and off the benzo's
Thanks.
