There seems to be quite a lot of information on this forum (do a search on encore software, etc). Also the software it self has an extensive help file. If you can get the My encore software to work that will be helpful, too.

That particular screen is showing the hours each day that you used the machine.

All you're looking at here is the hours slept.

You need to select "Full Details" after you open your data.
There will be a "window" that will have dates on the right-hand side and on the left is where you select either "Summary" or "Full Details". It defaults to "Summary", so you have to select the other little circle..

It looks like version 1.6 is compatable with the old machines, alright!

Two more selections for interaction. NEW!

NoSlak,
The text in the right column tells you the average no. of apnea, hyponpnea, an non-responsive apnea you have per hour. "index" means "total divided by time". AI is apnea index, HI hypopnea index and the total of both is AHI.

Your treatment is considered successful if your AHI is under 5.0. I'd suggest you download derek's free MyEncore software which gives much easier data to understand. Here's the link:

MyEncore

Move down quite a bit and take a look at all the graphs and other info it gives you. The developer of MyEncore is a member of this message board. He wanted to come up with a presentation that was user-friendly (which Encore Pro is definitely not). It's absolutely fantastic.

NoSlak,
According to what you told us, you had 74 events per hour, and that was diagnosed as severe apnea.

With your present treatment, according the screen you posted, you have 2.7 events per hour. That is a major major reduction.

Here's some of what you can find about the AHI in the CPAPopedia (blue book above the message board).
Anonymous wrote:The Severity of OSAHS as defined by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Task Force (1999) is
AHI < 5 Normal
5 =< AHI <15 Mild
15 =< AHI <30 Moderate
30 =< AHI Severe

The above is the most widely used severity definition.
I know that British are using different criteria.

Relax, you're doing great.

Thank you kindly, Sir NoSlak.

I, however, am a Madam.....

Please note: My Encore was developed to work with Encore Pro versions 1.5X.

I have no idea it works with version 1.6 that you said you have.
