I`m using a full face mask, and even with the loose setting on the head piece, I`m developing a red mark on the top of my nose, at around the level where my glasses sit.
Any ideas on how to avoid this, and comments on mask size influence?
Many thanks

Re: Sore top of nose
I am in the USA, I am not sure if the product is available in Tokyo. I can go into any supermarket or pharmacy, go to the foot care section and purchase a synthetic product named "Mole Skin." It is like a sticky like tape on one side and the other is furry, usually skin colored.
I also used mole skin for a Full Face Mask as I have a small nose. It is a bit difficult to use "Mole Skin" after one already has a sore, but it is doable.
I needed to have a mask so my nose could heal. I went for a Total Face Mask, the "Fit Life" with the theory that the greater the edge of the mask the less the pressure is on anyone place. I think that idea was wrong, but I still use the mask.
There is an individual somewhere on the forum who will be glad to give advice on using the FitLife mask.
Usually the recommendation to get a broken bit of skin to heal is put Cortizone on it, which one should not do near the eye. As my eyes are more important to me than a bit of sore skin, I never tried that.

I use my own little square pieces of soft cotton for my issue which is my forehead. I change it nightly or every other night at most to keep a clean cotton surface against my face. For me, if my mask is too loose it moves which would scrub back and forth on my skin. I keep it tight enough to not move easily but not so tight that it feels uncomfortable.

Re: Sore top of nose
I have tried 8 masks so far in my 3+ month odyssey of xPAP. Some masks are terrible and cause these sores and pain. Others don't! Keep trying different masks. Our faces are all different, and some masks work better on some while others work better on others. Use the insurance offered by Internet CPAP suppliers or get it free to keep your financial obligations low.

For me, it happens any time I change the cushion. I picked up a nose-bridge pad (our sponsors sell a couple of models) and use it for the first few nights with the new cushion, after which the irritation doesn't seem to be a problem.
I should also point out that I had to use the pad for the first four weeks of therapy continuously. Otherwise I'd get the sore bridge. Once I got used to the therapy and mask, I found I only got the irritation when changing cushions.
Each of the silicon pads should last a couple of months - much longer if you only use them when changing cushions.

I use cheap bandaids - and they work for me.
