I give up on the search engine..However, I'm sure my question has been answered before: What is/are the difference/s between the newer Pro's
(with Cflex) and the current Pro2?

"The REMstar Pro 2 is a powerful tool for promoting compliance with OSA therapy. It provides the comfort of C-Flex technology and also captures enhanced compliance data (AHI, leak, and snoring) with the Encore Pro SmartCard and Data Management Software."
The REMstar Pro (without the 2) only gives compliance data (i.e. how many hours you used the machine) and none of the important stuff (like if you're having apneas).
C-Flex is just a feature on some Respironics machines. It is a feature that allows you to set exhalation relief if you want to use it.
Take a look at cpap.com and you can compare the different machines.

The Pro is the older model, it has a SmartCard (early Plus model didn't have the SmartCard slot), the Pro ONLY records basic compliance data (i.e. how many hours per day you have used the machine, that is it).
It puts it in about 10 different colors and charts but it is really worthless data for the patient. Data like this is only good for proving compliance for insurance DOT etc.
The newer Pro2 records ALL sleep data just like the Autopap's do, including compliance, flow limitation, hypopapnea, apnea and snore. It also records mask leak data. It also records trend data (7-10 day and extended).
Next to an autopap the Pro2 is the next best thing. With the Pro2, you can make subtile changes to your pressure settings and use the reports to see your results. The Pro2 also has C-Flex feature which works very well (so did the older Pro model).
For the few bucks extra it costs, get the Pro2.
