Any humidifiers without the Bisphenol A plastic?

No, he's right. On the S8 water tanks, the water is constantly in touch with the plastic. Only the S9 tanks have the "full metal bottom" where the water is not in constant contact with the plastic.Randyp1234 wrote:Oh come on....water briefly touching plastic ain't gonna hurt anything!!!
I got a S9 with the junk tank. I bought a cleanable tank, but I've been opening and dishwashing my "non-opening" tank and alternating tanks every cleaning cycle. No obvious effects so far, but I suspect the aluminum will eventually get pitted. If so, I'll buy a new cleanable tank.StuUnderPressure wrote:Although the early ResMed "non-cleanable" water tanks could not be taken apart, the one I got with my S9 AutoSet in January 2012 does come apart just like the "cleanable" one, but you still can not put it in the dishwasher.
That's interesting that the non-dishwashable tank is now openable.
