I get really, seriously, ill if my CPAP is set to too low of a pressure.

Some people do take a while to feel better. Some need to take charge of their own therapy to get it right. Some may not feel better, but will at least stop further damage to their health from apnea.

Realize that it's not just lack of sleep, it's very serious physical damage to your brain, heart, and other organs from oxygen deprivation during the night.

If you had a good sleep test, it can very definitively show you have sleep apnea.

You also need to realize that just because you have apnea, you can still have any of the medical problems that non-apneacs have. You need to be careful that you and your doctor don't blame everything on apnea and miss some other important medical condition.
