My centrals Look alot like Java's, however, something in the link that 1041 put in here caught my eye about Arousal triggered respiratory events. The words "Physical Pain".
One thing that I have really been ignoring, I prefer sleeping on my back, however I never got a chance to do that because my wife kept rolling me to my side so I'll breathe (she is really a great gal!). However since getting on the hose, trying to sleep on my back, I've noticed that my left leg was constantly numb at first, and has gotten progressively worse since then. I wake up at night and pain is shooting down my leg or it feels like the leg is on fire.
(veering off topic for a second) I'm a musician (drummer and guitar), so I fight tendonitis in my wrists, and occasionally have to have cortisone shots. While getting a shot last month, I asked my orthopedic doctor about the pain. He asked a few questions and said it was my sciatic nerve. He said to ice it, use heat occasionally if the ice doesn't work, and showed me some stretching exercises. This all helps, but still wakes me up at night in pain.
The more I thought about it, the more I start wondering if it's the bed that we have. Then I realize that we have had this bed for at least 7 years, and it wasn't new when we got it from her mother.
I'm thinking a new bed is in order

Re: 75 percent clear airway events
Java Time, yes zoom in on your flow. I wonder if you are hyperventilating during REM.
aevans410, let us know how your pain investigation turns out. If you could videotape yourself sleeping, that could confirm pain as the source, and if not, provide other clues.
