Swift Spare Parts

Post by leaveye » Thu Mar 30, 2006 6:22 pm

What parts are more likely to break on this mask? What would anybody recommend as fas as keeping spare parts around for this setup?

I've been on CPAP for about a week now and I'm feeling fantastic. Just trying to think ahead and make sure that I don't have to go a single night without it.

Thanks for any replies!

swift spare parts

I have used the swift for about a year and only problem I had was with the small hose that fits on the swivel. After a while it tends to slip off. a piece of tape will hold it in an emergency. I change the pillows when they get squishy.

Swift Parts

I think the parts hold up well, but I am constantly on the verge of losing the plastic clip that holds the pillows to the frame. It would be nice if it stayed on the frame when the pillow is removed for it's daily wash. At least there is the nice carrying case for this and other small bits.

If I had the sense to have spare parts I would go for:

1) a second clip
2) a backup of the size pillow that works for me (medium)
3) Spares for the cap and flex tube that fit into each end of the frame, especially if you remove them daily as per instructions. (I don't.)

Before you get spare parts make sure this interface works for you. Most people like it for lack of leaks, but it causes sore nares if the pillows don't fit.
