Where are you now? What time zone? Is it -7 GMT time?
ENcore is saying you went to bed 2 hours earlier than SleepyHead.
What time did you really go to bed last night? 8:17 or 10:17 PM (20:17) or something else?
It isn't a critical thing but it makes a difference when we try to line up a cluster that we see on SH with the same timed cluster in Encore.

Respironics machines can be off a few minutes but when we get into hours it is a software thing.
I can't find anything in Encore that lets me change the time so like you I think computer clock.
In the past Encore Pro had a problem when we switched to DST and was always an hour off no matter what I chose in the time zone. No such time zone choice in Basic. So Repironics software in the past easily gets things messed up.

If you went to bed at 10:17 last night...then we will just have to adjust our mind set when looking at the wave form reports.
It isn't critical...just would be convenient if they would match SH. I was just wondering because you may have been out west when you set up SH and maybe now you are in a different time zone so last night's SH might be off.

Odd that the machine won't go below 8.5 maximum though. Could someone else with PR S1 APAP try getting a 2 cm range and even try making minimum and maximum the same and let me know the results? I don't have an APAP now to try myself.
In the past we have always been able to make minimum and maximum equal each other but maybe they have changed the firmware. It would be helpful for me to know if this change has occurred with these machines so I can adjust my thinking in this situation. We used to do it all the time so we could get Flow limitations show up when using a single pressure to mimic cpap mode.
Pugsy ..my m series will only alow me a leaway of 2 as the lowest settings. I wanted to set it at 11 and 11 but it would only allow me to go as low as 13 ..So I'm trying out 11 - 13 .
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

Pugsy,

I'm in AZ now...At home till Wed ... I hope!

Look at my previouse post of the screen shot of both programs open ... I went to bed a tad past 8:15pm (20:15). If your not familiar with 24 hr clock (military time) 10 pm would equal 22:00 ...

So what I think is going on is Encore gets it time from the computer when it opens up the file ...

I keep all my computers on -7 Mountain time (no DST here in AZ!) unfortunately my iPhone changes as I move to a different time zone ... Sometimes instantly other times takes 24 hours!

Do you have Aflex on - if so try turning Aflex to OFF the adj. pressure.

Don't worry about the time differences between ENcore and SH. It isn't that big of a deal. With your traveling around...we just have to live with it. We just have to adjust in our heads when we look at a time in SH and same time in Encore. It isn't all that hard to match up the flow with SH reports.

Hmmm... I know for a fact that my M series with AFlex (set to 2) would let me do minimum and maximum the same because I tried it one night to verify that I would get flow limitation scoring.

11-13 is still really close anyway. Close enough to see what you want to see I suspect.

I definitely remember my M Series allowing same max/min to get FL,I did it many times at 12 -12, my PR allows the same setting although I never used it that way .

Last night I switched to the Resprionics OptiLife Nasal Cradles, at first I thought I had them leak free, but just as I was falling asleep Cyndi told me Im leaking! seemed ti have ti fiddle with it most of the night whenever I was awake, think tonight I'll go to the Respironics ProformaTrax Nasal ... i did not really like how this felt against my nose ...

I had earlier in the day played with a fitted various masks on ,so there was some time n the machine from that, I tried to zoom in a bit to get that out of sight ...

Go to SleepyHead Preferences section and on the Import tab look for the second line "Ignore short sessions".
Slide the little slider thing to the right so that it says 5 minutes. This let's SleepyHead ignore those short sessions when you are just briefly testing something.

Those cradle cushions sound great in theory but not as easy to seal as they sound. Fit has to be just perfect so it won't move out of position with movement in bed.
Could you try the nasal pillows that Cyndi is using? Just try to see how they feel to you?
Do you have any other nasal pillows other than the Swift FX?

If you don't want the iPhone to change timezones when you travel go into Settings - General - Date & Time and turn off "Set Automatically", and force the time zone to your home time zone.

I actually like my phone to switch, just nothing else.

I'm out for walk now, trying to keep an eye out for snakes ... The other day we ran acrosss a red racer and a bull snake

I can try Cyndis, but she only has med ... So I may just try the Proformatrack nasal, plus we have. Mirage micro ... But it is size small ...

What did you do after the 1:40 break? Did you change masks? Do anything different? Did you sleep?
That time frame looks like what your reports should look like. So what changed?
Leak is much more stable and no clutter that we see earlier in the night when we know you were messing with the mask.
I know it is only an hour but a great hour compared to your other reports so I know you can do it.

I have not used that mask but when using nasal pillows in general you must have the pillow size larger than your nares (the openings in your nose) so it is easier to start LARGe then, IF you have leaks, work your way up or down.

I also use Lanisnoh on my nares and the pillows. This does 2 things...
1. It helps to seal.
2. It reduces the friction when the mask moves (ea. time you breath) with every breath. That is a lot of moving during the night and the reason for irritation caused by ANY mask, movement. IF you are getting sore the mask (any mask) is moving and causing friction.

Now to stabilize the mask - any mask - I use knee high panty hose 3pr/$1 at the dollar store.
They are light, strong and soft. Wrap the panties around your head & mask and tie - not too tight but just snug enuff to keep the mask in place while you sleep. This IS a one-size-fits-all

obtw - nasal pillows are hands down THE easiest to seal simply because there is soo much less contact area to leak. Keep this in mind.
