DeVilbiss Intellipap Humidifier Leaking and Making Noise

Post by 49er » Sun Aug 05, 2012 1:19 am

Did nnybody with the same machine have a similar problem and if so, what did you do to solve it? I tried searching the archives to no avail.

I really hope I don't have to send it back to cpap.com for an evaluation because I will be without a machine unless I want to pay for a loaner.

Thanks!

I don't know about that machine but I would try to figure out where its leaking. Is it in the normal hose connections or its it between the humidifier and the pump? You may be able to hook a hose between the pump and the humidifier and then block off its outlet to get a better idea of where the leak is. If its a seal, look to see how it comes off for replacement. Maybe you can pull it off and put it back on and it will fit better. Maybe it just came part of the way off. A stethoscope with the end removed is a great tool for finding small air leaks.

Thanks Tim.

The leak seems to be coming directly from bottom of the tray as water is leaking. I wonder if there is a crack I am not seeing. I will have to look harder to see if I can find it.

I just took a nap and this time, it didn't leak. I may have been putting too much water in previously.

Stay tuned.
