Hi there.
I'm a newbie to posting, but a familiar with absorbing cpap.com advice. Thank you to everyone who has been there for me for the past 1 1/2 years.
Today, I was looking for an answer to a problem I am having when I found this dialogue. It will inspire me to author my question...but first address any sore bridge of nose or sore nose issues ReadyForRest may still have:
I absolutely believe in.....nipple cream!!! Yes, the stuff new moms use when they are sore from breast feeding. Cpap.com led me to this product about a year ago for soreness and for achieving a good seal.
Look for it in the baby goods aisle at any pharmacy type store. The technical product name is Lansinoh. The little purple bottle I have is HPA Lanolin.
I put a 1/2 pea sized amount on one pinky, smear it on the other pinky, smear on my nostrils, put on nasal pillows/headgear, wait for pulse of air, briefly pull off a corner of pillows, reattach with a little push, and I am set. No soreness, rarely leakage.
I hear this product also works for the bridge of a nose for face mask users.
I am 52, female, not overweight and probably had sleep apnea for ten years before diagnosis. I now feel like a freak at night, but amazing during the day. I'll take nighttime freak!
Now...to compose my first inquiry post. Thanks for inspiring me.
I'm new and need advice
