Hmm, I really don't know what to do about that. My nose has been pretty much useless when I sleep for as long as I can remember. Even after a nasal spray it will close up shortly after, never having much of a lasting effect. My tongue is huge too, haha, but I think that comes with the territory as I said before, I'm huge.

I really need to get to a doc I think...

So in your training - "ABC" what does A stand for and why does it come 1st?

Either see a doc or you might be goin somewhere else, sooner rather than later.

Haha, nice one. Yes, a is for airway, I get it. Actually it was just a call the other day that I was on that made me rethink my procrastination on this issue. 50-something male, CHF, dead in his house, alone. Right next to him was a CPAP machine. No he didn't die from not using it, but his cardiac complications could have been caused or just merely exacerbated by the fact that he had sleep apnea. I realize the danger in this, I do. It honestly scared me a bit, enough to poke around here...

I just didn't really know where to start, I felt because I was young and a non-snorer that my persistent drowsiness was either related to my career choice or just a figment of my imagination. And I hate doctors, ha ha, did I mention that yet? I'm not the patient, I'm the healthcare provider. Plus I spend most of my time in ambulances and hospitals so I really like to stay away on my off days as much as possible. It's a stupid mindset that I need to get over. I know.

Without O2 nothing else matters, so start there

Learn to search this forum - 2 ways -
1. Using "Advanced Search" found under the New Users and CPAP Wiki icons on every forum page or use this link search.php
You can drill down by searching those results

2. Or use Google entering your "search terms" (space then) cpaptalk.com
Google has all kinds of search tips I won't go into here.

HTH

obtw - can't breath thru the nose + BIG tongue = the only time you will NOT snore is when you are NOT breathing.
You don't hear it cuz you are sleeping.
Questions?

Can I take out life insurance on you?
