last night I was trying out a new mask, and had the mask on and off a few times. This left some stray "leak datA" that throws the scale of the leak data off.
I wanted to see how bad my leaks were on the new mask, but can not really tell because the scale goes up to 170.
I am not sure which files to clean up..... or is here a way to get a smaller scale, and let dome data simply go off the chart????

Re: edit sleepy head data
You can set SleepyHead to ignore short sessions. That would eliminate short frequent on and off times. Doesn't help if the large leak time is within a longer session though. I have it set to ignore sessions less than 5 minutes. This eliminates any short term fiddling with things sessions. Machine needs to be on and off to qualify as a session though. If your large leak numbers were within a few separate short sessions (like 5 or 10 minutes) you set set SH to ignore the time frame of those sessions and the scale will be altered so that the large leak is eliminated.
Preferences...Import tab...just slide the slider to whatever minutes you want SH to ignore if they are short sessions.
You can use your mouse and zoom in on a particular section of time that would not include the spikey leak and while it won't change the permanent numbers you can see what the numbers would be if you were just using that zoomed in time frame.

You can also turn off a session from the display.
In theory, you can set the vertical scale manually, but it doesn't seem to work for leak in the current version of the software. Maybe Mark will get back and fix things soon.
You can also stretch the display vertically for a particular graph.

Not that I know of. We can turn off a session but there needs to be an off/on thing to get the session separation.wilsonintexas wrote: Any wy to edit the data to pull out the "bad" records????
I think I know what you are wanting to do. I have a report where I was awake for almost an hour fighting with extreme nausea and the machine recorded all sorts of garbage events which mess up my overall numbers. It was in the middle of the night and I did not turn the machine off. I was awake but didn't turn off the machine. So I have one 7 hour session and in the middle of it is an hour long mess. I don't know of any way to exclude that hour from my overall data. Never thought much about it really. At this point in my therapy it isn't a big deal and over the grand scheme of things the garbage data will even itself out and not impact anything long term.
I could see why a new person would like to isolate and eliminate the garbage data...they don't have the long term data to absorb and even out the numbers. I don't know any way to do what you seem to be wanting. For sure ResScan or Encore doesn't allow it.

Re: edit sleepy head data
I thought I'd bring this post back to life. A simple way to do this is delete the source ResMed files with a timestamp that corresponds to the period you dont want, then just import the data. The way I do is:
1) Import as usual from the ResMed card. Sleephead auto creates a backup in the folder C:\SleepyHeadData\Profiles\NAME\ResMed_MACHINENUMBER\Backup\
2) Checkout the graph and figure out what times are amiss.
3) Delete all data for that day in sleephead (note, this function is broken in my version, I just deleted all data files for that day in C:\SleepyHeadData\Profiles\NAME\ResMed_MACHINENUMBER\.
4) Go to C:\SleepyHeadData\Profiles\NAME\ResMed_MACHINENUMBER\Backup\ and identify which files have been created at the times you wish to delete. Simply highlight all the .edf, .crc files for that time and delete (or cut and paste somewhere safe).
5) Load sleephead and reload the day from the backup folder (C:\SleepyHeadData\Profiles\NAME\ResMed_MACHINENUMBER\Backup\) NOT the SD card.
6) The session will be gone.
It may sound a little long winded but you are simply deleting files based on timestamps. You pick the times you wish to remove, delete them and load the data. You could actually delete from the SD directly but I preferred not to edit directly (although I cant see it would cause any issues)

Re: edit sleepy head data
If you edit directly on the SD card, its likely the ResMed machine will force a reformat of the card when you put it back in the machine.
ResMed is very picky about the files on the card.
BTW Respironics is not so picky.

Re: edit sleepy head data
I tried deleting straight from the ResMed SD card prior to importing. No issues here
