OT: SeQual Eclipse 3 Portable Concentrator - Barely Used

Post by Slinky » Sat Jul 21, 2012 9:29 am

I've never done well on pulse conservator 02. For the last 2 years, almost 3 years, I've contemplated buying a portable 02 concentrator so that I can use constant flow 02 when out and about instead of pulse. I finally saved up the money, and still hemmed and hawed about spending that kind of money. I wasn't willing to give up my 5L continuous flow concentrator and B and E tanks so insurance won't pay for the portable concentrator. Medicare and/or insurances will pay for a portable concentrator IF you're willing to go that route rather than the home concentrators and emergency tanks, they just aren't going to pay for both, its one or the other.

So - finally earlier this year I took the step and bought a SeQual Eclipse 3 portable concentrator w/one battery. I didn't see the need for 2 batteries since I didn't anticipate using the SeQual all that much. It certainly wasn't going to be my primary source of 02. Just shy of $3,000 out of pocket. Ouch!

Even ouchier I just got the word Wednesday I am being upped to 4 L of 02. *sigh* My DME is bringing the new equipment out Monday. The SeQual's constant flow 02 limit is 3 L (The Respironics new SimplyGo is limited to 2L constant flow). So ... ole day late and dollar short again me ... I have an almost brand new, barely used, SeQual Eclipse 3 portable oxygen concentrator, still under warranty, to try to sell. *sigh* I just thought I would mention it here ....

Yup, that's what I said: limited to 3L constant flow, but either 4L-5L in pulse.
