Last night MyEncore showed that I had one OA and it also showed that my average apnea duration was 160 seconds. Encore pro doesn't show an OA. I feel like crap this I have a major headache this morning so I know my treatment wasn't good last night.
So to my questions:
Why wouldn't Encore Pro show the event?
Isn't 160 seconds a long time for a single event?

Yeah, that's a LONG time for an apnea.
I'm not sure WHY it isn't showing the event in Encore Pro, but I've had somewhat similar situations where MyEncore counted more events than the little "tics" shown on the Encore Pro reports......but you'd think that an event that long would show up as a "tic" on the report.

By the way, the longest single apnea I had was 72 seconds, which was early in my therapy (last June). Almost all of the others have been 12 seconds or less.

One of my frustrations with Silverlining is that it represents each event with one tick, unless (presumably) it lasts long enough to rate a second tick.
Some days, I would wake up feeling really bad, even though my AHI remained fairly low (<3).
Resorting to an oximeter, I found that some nights I had experiencied significant desaturations at the time of some AH events but not others. Some nights, I didn't experience significant desaturations at all, although my AHI would be about the same. I tried a lot of things and finally found two factors that made a lot of difference:
(1) Most important--not eating too close to bed time. I made this correlation after I experienced a really bad night of desaturations and woke up to a miserable day. I remembered that, watching TV late into the night, I had munched down a bag of potato chips, bag of jerky, and a box of cookies. Sure enough, when I tried not eating anything six hours or so before bedtime (probably extreme), I experienced just about my best sleep night ever. And that pattern has held since. I don't know if it was acid reflux or some chemical thing involving the salt and sugar; but, the difference was amazing.
(2) Less important--eliminating mask leaks. I found some desaturations corresponding to mask leaks, even though the leaks usually didn't seem that severe on the Silverlining chart.
