I felt like I was reading my story.

For me....I have learned to not ignore family genetics. I inherited a predisposition to depression. And have successfully kept it at bay after learning how truly yucky it can be.

I think now that I am using my vpap compliantly for the first time (but not without trial and error and still not there in terms of sleeping through the night or leaks or numbers), I am beginning to see how many of my symptoms are being affected by now getting some increased oxygen into my systems. And which also has makes me realize how many of my general overall sense of unwellness symptoms (tired, chronically sleepy, susceptible to heat/allergies/digestive issues and moods (feeling like life was leaving me behind in the recliner because it took all I had to do my job with nothing left for 'life" or fun)

I thank you for bringing up this topic because I was not making the correlation to my treatment with antidepressants and my emotional reactions and sense of hopeless fatigue from apnea that I have spent more than 6 unsuccessful years not knowing the choices and not being advised well about them by the people I paid money to for being the "experts" .

I won't continue bash ad nauseum because I can't undo the past, but I can choose to be more pro active, more amenable to being compliant, and more committed to being here to get support even tho sometimes I have sensed people are reading me in a way that has surprised (and saddened)me.

But I have learned, through life's lessons, what I need must take precedence over what I might want. My need to address my apnea and educate and improve it must exceed my need to be liked or clever.

And so it goes.

Also don't forget you likely had hundreds of arousal every night which caused sleep deprivation which resulted in unhealthy emotions.

Best of luck to you on out.
