How often do you clean your mask/hose?
There isn't a category in the poll for me either......
(I'm not as religious as Ric)
I DO clean my filter every week or two. Does that count?

I answered weekly - because that's how often I do the clean/soak routine. But I keep a box of wipes by my bed, and wipe out the mask daily. I'm afraid I go the Rested Gal route with the humidifier - just top off the tank as needed. I'm in Texas and find passover humidity fine most of the time, so it takes awhile to use the water. I do usually clean/soak it about once every 2 weeks, but that varies.
The disposable filter gets cleaned weekly with everything else. The hose - um, twice in 5 months I figure, hoses are pretty cheap and it's a pain to clean and dry them, so.....

Re: How often do you clean your mask/hose?
I've been using CPAP for 18 months now.
Every three days I empty out the humidifier water and the tank dry out. I figure this helps dry out the hose and nasal pillows too, as there is an open air passage.
About every two-three weeks I wash everything but the headgear in warm sudsy water. I think my headgear will last longer if I only wash it every 5-6 weeks.
I have a fleece hose cover that gets washed in the washing machine when I wash my hose (every two-three weeks).
My white filter gets replaced when I wash the rest of the gear every two-three weeks.

Re: How often do you clean your mask/hose?
silicone cushions - every 3 to 4 days (just to wash away the oils for a good seal)
hard plastic parts of the mask - 2 to 3 times a year (it may get an occasional wipe down with a wet wipe if it's lucky)
tube - maybe once or twice a year
humidifier - 2 to 3 times a year (or if I see something growing in it)
I've been CPAP-ing for roughly a decade now. And when it comes to cleaning, my philosophy is "That which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!" Bring on the germs!

I answered once a month, but that might be a lie because I have not reached the one month yet. I have cleaned the mask, once but is saw may stuff in it. I wouldn't know how to clean the tube.
I have a new Cushing being mailed next week, Ago anyone have any ideas how to get the resmed Quattro Air apart for either cleaning or replacing?

Re: How often do you clean your mask/hose?
The first year and a half, I washed the nasal pillows every day, and the rest of it once a week. Now I wash the front of the nasal pillows (that make contact with my face) every morning, and the rest once a month or so.
Re: How often do you clean your mask/hose?
To dismantle the quattro air you pull outward on one of those little thingies that you hook your head gear on.
Mask, small hose and humidifier daily in warm water and Ivory liquid.
Hose weekly in warm water and Ivory liquid.
Hose, mask, humidifier, head gear everything in Control 3 after any kind of infection or cold.

Re: How often do you clean your mask/hose?
I clean my face mask every morning using a Johnson's baby wipe. Once a week I wash it in Baby Soap and water . The rest of the mask assembly is also cleaned weekly in the same manner and is wiped with the Baby wipe every day as well. The inside of the humidifier is wiped with a Baby wipe every week. My hose is usually cleaned once a month in Baby soap and water. Put the soap in the hose, seal off one end, fill with water, swish it around and drain . Rinse in the same manner until all soap is dispersed.

Re: How often do you clean your mask/hose?
I've been using a CPAP for almost 3 years now. Still have brain fog so I probably didn't respond to the survey quite accurately because I put in every other day when its more like every 3 or 4 days. i bought extra sets of masks, hose, and the water reservoir thing so i could swap things out easily when I'm feeling particularly lazy and procrastinating. I do know that the longer I've been on my CPAP has some correlation to the length of time between cleanings. There's probably a formula for that somewhere.
