I would suggest trying 5-HTP for increasing your serotonin levels. I believe this is considered more effective in that than the St. Johns Wort. I've used 5-HTP in the past (100mg) before bed and it did help me fall into sleep and stay asleep for a period of 2 or 3 months.greenguru wrote:....i am pondering St. Johns Wort to increase serotonin levels. ....
I wouldn't mix it with the Melatonin though. Like RobySue suggests, give that a chance first. I'm currently using a form of a Melatonin supplement with success.
