Red could be from a reaction to the detergent. Rinse it. Soak it in clean tap water if you have it and soak it in distilled water before wearing it again and try to let it dry out as well. Never boil a mask if its your only one.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to check the dish detergent brand and I'll post to see if anyone knows if that could be the case.

Good point! My nose hairs are trimmed though and last night with the new pillows went much better. Only had some minor problems starting out until I got my mask adjusted again properly after mucking with it from the prior night.
