You need to inhale, otherwise your breath will condense on the inside of the tube.

Buy one of the CPAP drying contraptions for $500 being sold by one CPAP online company. I guess that's for sleep clinics. Can't imagine they use new hoses for every patient and then throw away.

I'm sorry I just couldn't resist..My breath is so hot it would dry fast.

Seems to me, the bathroom/shower would be the worst places to dry tubing--? mildew/darkness good medium for growing things. I put mine over a coat tree rack to dry, out of direct sunlight.

Early in my CPAP days, I used the dyer on high heat and melted a hole in the tube. I mended with duct tape and continued to use the hose until a new one arrived.

That was just an idea as I never tried. For sure I would not use one that's boiling hot....
