What a nice story! Congratulations and wishing you many happy years together. It would be nice not to be the only hoser in the bed!

About a month ago, I woke in the middle of the night to a leaky seal on my full face mask.
Hubby was propped up smiling at me.
He said,"The leak woke me up first, but I held the edge down until my arm got tired."
How can't you just MELT?

Okay, I am blaming my sentimental newlywed status, but this story reduces me to a puddle. I haven't met your other half, but I LOVE him!

And thank you, everyone, for the kind words. It was pretty great, but we could have gotten married in a mud pit and it would have been great -- so long as we ended up married!

Traveling with our XPAPs was a nice opportunity to do a little covert education on our families. My dad and my sweetie's uncle are both VERY devoted hose-heads, but there are many other members of our family who aren't... and should be. My mom, who snores like a freight train, admired my girly pink S9 and proclaimed it "not as bad as she thought." And we demonstrated how near-silent our machines are for his mom, who assumed they would be loud and obnoxious (and she's the primary caretaker of his dad, who will probably die of OSA-related complications soon if he doesn't start XPAP therapy). You can't make a horse drink and all that, but at least we could show our families to the water. And when they saw how bad off our uncle was after ONE night without his CPAP... I think it made an impression.

I also appreciate just how lucky I am that my sweetie and I are both PAPsters together. It is pretty amazing to be able to understand what the other is going through and support each other through it. My sweetie has had a much easier times with masks than I have, but he knows what a bad night feels like, and that makes him 150% behind my constant mask acquisition/experimentation. (My elan gets here tomorrow: I blame all of you, you enablers! ). Supporting each other in this is another way we show each other love. Pretty awesome stuff.

And I owe everyone on this board an enormous thank you. Neither my husband nor I would be doing as well as we are without your help and support. This is a pretty outstanding group of people, and I am very grateful for your collective wisdom and kindness. Thanks for helping us make this marriage a very, very long and healthy one.
