MyEncore Data Points Problem

Post by roztom » Mon Mar 20, 2006 11:20 am

I've read this elsewhere but the solution is not working for me.

IN MyENcore I only get 6 days of data no matter what I check on the preferences. ON the preference window it only shows six days of data available.

I have over 20 days of data in Encore Pro.

Please advise so I can get more data into MY Encore as I see others (Nighthawk) who are able to do so.

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Tom

I see others who can show more than 6 days in their reports.

Unless there have been changes I am not aware of, Encore Pro (the Respironic program) will only save the las 5-7 days of detailed data.

For the days before that, you only get compliance data.

My Encore will show you the detailed data you get from Encore Pro - it you haven't saved older data with My Encore, you've lost it.

If you want to follow the details of your treatment on the long run, you have to dowload the data every 5 days look at in in My Encore, and save it.

O,

I'm a little confused.

I have all of the data in ENcore Pro.

It only sees 6 days in MY Encore.

How do I save data in My Encore and then have it be able to read more than 6 days at a time?

Thanks,

Tom

Sorry Tom, I must have misunderstood your question and I guess my answer wasn't as helpful - as I'd hoped . I can't do better since I don't have the software - only know about the 5-7 day limitation from reading. And there's obviously something I missed here.

O.

Thanks for trying.

I'm sure there is a way to do it. I've even seen others ask about it.

I'm sure someone will clue me in.

Appreciatively,

Tom,

I'll try.......

First, make sure that the SQL server and other related programs aren't running.
In the "Program Files" directory on your C: drive, there will be a folder/directory called MyEncore. Go in there and you should see a file with a .ini extension (I think it's MyEncore.ini). You might want to open it and save it as a different name (like MyEncore.sav) in case you have to go back to it. Then open the original. It will have a list of data that is used by MyEncore. Look to see what the dates are, that are listed. You should be able to edit them to match up with the beginning date for Encore Pro (there should be at least 2 or 3 beginning dates to look for). Then save the file, start everything back up and see if that fixes it. If not......Oh well.....I tried......

Good luck.

I tried what you suggested.

I found dates in notepad. They were the right dates.

I'm not sure what else to try.

Thanks,

Tom,

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing MyEncore?

I remember that this issue came up in the past, but I can't remember what the solution was.
Re-installing should not cause any problems. I know this has to be done when doing an version update.

I'm running out of ideas beyond this one.

I haven't tried that.

I've read about this issue before.

I'll be darned if I can't remember or find the solution.

Have you tried...

Post by Moogy » Mon Mar 20, 2006 5:38 pm

Tom,

Have you tried ALL the different toggles on the preference page of MyEncore? There are two sets of preferences, one for Daily Plot Preferences, and one for Pressure Based Plot Preferences, and they seem to adjust different charts.

Please explain in more detail what is happening so we can try to help you figure this out.

For example, if you hit the button that says "Use last # days" and you enter a larger number, then hit save preferences, what happens when you go to "daily AHI." Do you always get exactly 6 days of data, with the dates changing every day, or do you always get the same 6 days of data, with nothing updating? Can you tell it you want only 3 days, or does that feature not work either?

Have you tried the little calendar where you choose the start and stop dates? Again, what shows up on your daily charts? Can you choose LESS than 6 days, or only 6 days?

Hoping to shed some light on the mystery.

Moogy

Moogy:

It only gives me the last 6 days. That is all the data it shows available no matter what I toggle.

I suspect though that I may know wht the problem could be - maybe someone can verify this.

I have all my data in ENcore Pro. Everyday when I download data to ENcore Pro, I delete the old record and just keep the most recent one.

I did this since all the data was still showing in ENcore PRo.

Is this the reason I only have the last 6 days?

Thanks,

Tom

I delete the data also

Post by Moogy » Mon Mar 20, 2006 6:22 pm

Tom,

Sometimes I delete, and other days I don't. Either way, I get one copy of each day in MyEncore. No duplicates, and no days missing.

Very strange.

No. I have all data available in mine. I've changed cards, changed machines, had cards erased daily, set up fictitious personalities, but all my data is intact.

Don't know if this will help or not, but just so you'll have another basis of comparison for the MyEncore preferences page, here's mine:

Tom, I'm stumped too, but let me throw out a few of ideas:

1. Did you change your pressure settings 6 days ago?

2. Did you change to straight cpap 6 days ago?

3. Did you delete the downloaded files in Pro after you saw they were in MyEncore? (not the smart card, but the actual files in Pro).

4. Did you piss off the tooth fairy? ....

I hate it that you're having problems. Hang in there, we'll get you up and running. One of us will hit on an obsurd idea yet.

I have been deleting the old patient interactions in PRo and keeping the most recent one.

SO each day that I download in Pro I delete the prev days download.

Is that where the problem is?

Thanks,

Tom
