I had the Mumps which is very similar I think. The doctor wasn't sure at first which it was but finally settled on the Mumps. I tried the lemon drops and it felt like putting my head in a vice. It was horribly painful. I can't even think about lemon drops not without my face hurting and it was only one for a second.
