Janice,
Do you take vitamins like D3, B6 and B12 ? Had daytime sleepiness but not as intense as yours. During the last physical and blood results my Dr asked I take D3 as test showed it was very low. On the first day of taking it was so buzzed it was like drinking 12 cups of espresso! But I was AWAKE all day. And with lots of energy. The second day there was no buzz but I felt more energized and awake.
Am no expert with Apap but had to slowly raise the bottom number and have settled on a 10 to 13 cm range. It's a compromise with leak rate increasing the higher you go. My EPR is set at 2. A 3 allows too many OA's to happen (it jumps from an average of 0.6 to 3.0). And an EPR of 1 does not give me any lower AHI than a 2.
Hope you feel better soon.
Cindy

Re: Cannot solve daytime sleepyness
Thank you Cindy...I take 5,000 IU of vit. D daily (faithfully) and a super B complex, plus lots of other vits. I find the closer I get my pressures the better I feel. right now I have been using 12-15 all week...I will do that for another week and see how things go then maybe try 13-15. Someone wanted me to try straight cpap...I have tried it twice now with a pressure of 12...EPR 3,and I wake up after and hour with a terrific headache and stomach full of air......Have to go back to Auto. I will try lowering my EPR to 2 and see what happens.....
Thanks again, take care.....
