Respironics Deluxe chinstrap vs. cpap.com's version

Post by SleepingUgly » Mon Jun 04, 2012 12:47 pm

I have a Respironics Deluxe chinstrap that I got from a DME. For some reason is comes with one of the narrow velcro straps instead of 2, and the directions only show one strap. I want two. I think the chinstrap doesn't leave too many marks on my face, so I don't want a different brand if the material is different. Can anyone speak to differences between any of these (e.g., material, width of the chinstrap--it has to cover my mouth and still be on my chin, which the Respironics does, etc.):

cpap.com's version:

or any other versions, for example:

Hi SU,

I am not sure if you want recommendations, but if so I went with the Puresome Ruby Adjustable. It technically is one piece but has two straps. The material is soft on the face and the chin cup stays in place. There are two velcro tabs for sizing. And it keeps my mouth shut, which says a lot!

I use a Respironics chin strap (though I don't think it's the deluxe) and it looks nothing like those. Mine is black with a small chin guard and Velcro’s at the top with a smaller Velcro strap that goes around the back. I hate the thing because it stretches and after 2 months is no good.
