A new hosehead from Surrey, Canada: Hello

Post by seanconnery » Sun Jan 09, 2005 8:31 pm

I use a F&P HC221 LE with Mirage swift nasal pillows. I have been on this for about 6 weeks. WOW what a difference in energy, enthusiasm, peace with my wife - but all you guys out there have heard this before. I have been looking at websites for more information and hosehead camraderie. Thanks for being out there - I AM NOT ALONE AND THIS IS NORMAL FOR OLD FARTS LIKE ME. I have also found out that some of my coworkers have been hoseheads for years - we are now bonded. I read somewhere that CPAPs have only been around since the early 80's - is this true? Does this mean that many people have suffered needlessly, or died as a result of OSA? I have also read that manu GPs do not quite understand the prevalence of OSA and its effects. Now that I am a disciple, there is a need to spread the word so that it becomes as natural a part of our discourse as 'wardrobe malfunction'.

Greetings and welcome. You may want to make your posts to the Forum Index, as the Introductions section isn't the prevalent part of this site. In other words, the Forum Index is where the action is!!!

Before cpaps they just did a Tracheotomy. Popout the plug and goto sleep.

Chrip,

Mr. Bond wouldn't be as cool with a Trach.
