ResScan used to sell it to end users but they quite that about 3 years ago. We aren't supposed to have it so they sure aren't going to tell us about it because we aren't supposed to know any of this stuff.
Pugsy is rarely wrong around here....so I'll assume she forget the * footnote:
* depending on your country. You can buy it in the US with a prescription. You can buy it other places for $30 or free or lots more.
And never forget "void where prohibited by law"

Yeah, I forget about that little footnote all the time because most of the time patients (end users) aren't ever told about the existence of the software and last I heard someone told me they were quoted $250 for US purchase when going this route.
When ResScan was available (it was when I first started therapy 3 years ago) from online sources like cpap.com it was $100 I think. Don't remember for sure. Given that DMEs often don't tell the truth anyway...the existence of availability with RX from doctor becomes a moot point because most of the time the DME just tells people that they can't access the data at all.
At $100 it was overpriced for what it is. At $250 highway robbery. At $30 fair price but useless price for US users due to ResMed shipping of its products outside the country of the supplier.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I told him it was FREE software available on the internet that was written by a fellow CPAP users. That it supports at least ResMed and Respironics data machines. He was really excited. He said EncorePro is such a buggaboo to run. He would recommend SleepyHead to any of his patients that have a Respironics data-capable xPAP.
That was totally refreshing. A sleep professional that understands our need for data and wants us to have it.
My sleep doc asked me to bring my card in for my check in after getting my CPAP, and he actually looked at the data. I let him know that I used a program to check it as well, and he was very happy. He even said that if I saw something that looked like we needed to adjust a setting or I wasn't sure what was going on to either call his office or drop my card by and they would take a look. So there are some good ones out there!
I also asked my DME for an S9, and ended up with the Respironics. It was still data capable and it was my second choice so I didn't push it. The RT said she likes them because she found it easier for patients to use. So far I've been happy with it.
