My first machine (a Sullivan V Plus) was given to me. I used it for over 30,000 hrs and it was still running fine when I gave it to a lady that had placed a CL ad about needing a cpap machine and not having any money. I was glad I could pass it along.
A month later she had placed another CL ad trying to sell the machine I gave her for $50.
Live and learn...LOL

Hey I use "used" machines. Nothing to quibble about in my opinion.
I have insurance but seldom meet my deductible and so by the time machines/supplies eat the deductible, the copays, etc. not to mention the headache of dealing with the brick and mortar DME's in this town -- much simpler and easier to purchase out of pocket. My choice to buy used since new stuff is soooo expensive.
I have only purchased one machine new -- the first machine I received and my sleep studies took care of the deductible and I had nearly reached my out of pocket cap so was affordable that way.
