Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
Just got my CPAP yesterday... entirely new to all this... appreciate if anybody can tell me if I wasting my time with sleepyhead software?...
Do I understand correctly Sleepyhead software incompatible with Respironics System One RemStar 60 Series Auto with A-Flex (560P)? No troubleshooting/workaround for this issue? So many bad comments online about limited reporting with EncoreViewer. Any other 3rd part software options?
and, just in case problem result of my fumble-fingered-user-error here's what I find when I try import data from SD card into Sleepyhead running on my Windows XP laptop.
Import Data command results in Sleepyhead displaying machine info like so: Brand: Philips Respironics / Model: System One RemStar Auto with A-Flex (560P) / Serial: P05831572FB62. But across the top message reads: "No CPAP Machine Data Imported". Appears as though Sleepyhead recognizing card and CPAP machine properly but unable to read data? The sub directly on my SD card entitled "p0" contains many data files following this format:
0000000001.001
0000000001.002
0000000001.005
0000000002.001
etc. (18 files total)
Maybe updates to Sleepyhead underway?... maybe some kind of encrypted data structure employed with bad intent by resperonics to prevent us ignorant civilians from monitoring our own treatment?... maybe Sleepyhead developers can't be bother to update in the face of hostility by resperonics ?...app looks great... very eager to see some reporting on my nightly progress... appreciate any feedback from more experienced users... much thanks

Re: Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
Mark is working on making SleepyHead compatible with the new 60 series of machines. Unknown time frame though.
EncoreViewer 2.0 is not compatible either.
Give me a minute and I will send you a private message with some information on EncoreBasic which is compatible and it even has waveform that Viewer doesn't (if it worked with the 60 series machines) and it doesn't have the install problems with 64 bit computers that Viewer has.

Re: Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
I also got the same machine, delivered monday - and I can't get either encoreviewer2 or sleepyhead to work...
I have not heard of this "EncoreBasic" - nor can I find it anywhere on the internet..
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Two nights sleep - 11.5 hours of therapy and an AHI of 0.5... I'm feeling great!
(AHI was 15 in sleep lab untreated!)

Have to be careful to understand there are more than one version of Encore Pro 2...rosacer wrote:Is encore Pro 2 able to read the files from System One 60 ? Only out of curiosity
Only Encore Pro 2.8 will work with the new 60 series machine.
Since EncoreBasic offers the exact same reports as Pro 2.8 and works with the 60 series machines (and the older models) I recommend Basic.
For anyone wondering...EncoreBasic is not EncoreViewer.

Re: Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
Pugsy, you previously assisted in helping me download Encore Pro 2 for use with my old remstar "tank". Unfortunately I forgot my password have now been locked out. However, I just traded it in for the new Remstar Pro CFLEX+, which, during the setup testing period, raised the pressure from 8.5 to 10.4. The AHI is below 2 so I am not complaining. I would appreciate your emailing me the info on Encore Basic, or any other software which would work on my Windows XP PC.

Re: Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
I'm trying to use SleepyHead on OS X 10.7.4 and I have the System One 60 Series CPAP machine. When I try to mount the SD card, though, the OS doesn't see it. Anyone else having issues mounting the SD card? Is the filesystem not compatible with OS X? I thought I've seen others use the SD card with OS X and SleepyHead.
Thanks
Curt

sleepyhead is not yet compatible with the 60 series in any operating system. it isn't supposed to work.ccrandall77 wrote:I'm trying to use SleepyHead on OS X 10.7.4 and I have the System One 60 Series CPAP machine. Where do you get the EcoreBasic software? Can't find it anywhere.
Re: Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
Was just wondering if there is any news on software for the Respironics 60 series machine? I know that Sleepyhead doesn't have a version yet and neither does Encore. Anyone have any idea on a time frame? Trying to be patient but would love to see how I"m doing.

Actually there is Encore software available that will work with the 60 Series machines.
Encore Basic and Encore Pro 2.8 (or higher...I think that there may be another version after 2..
EncoreBasic is smaller than Pro and much, much easier to manage and you have the exact same reports as Pro offers.
It even offers waveform.
I sent you a private message about Basic so check your private message box.
All the Encore software is Windows based so if you have a Mac you have to set up some sort of virtual Windows environment to work. Unsure when Sleepyhead will be available for the 60 series but Mark is working on it.

Re: Sleepyhead or Other Software System One 60 Series?
Thanks so much for the help. I'm still adjusting to using a CPAP and it would do a lot for my frame of mind to see what kind of progress I'm making. Thanks again.
