I am scheduled for a root canal this afternoon and am wondering if there are any special precautions I should take or certain things I should do if I am going to have to sleep off pain meds with my cpap. Thanks for your help.
Pain meds and cpap
I'm no doctor but I think you are way ahead of the curve using the CPAP to stay fully oxygenated than having the pain meds possibly inhibit your sensing an apnea and wakingup. That's the reason my Dr. said no more sleep aids UNTIL you are on CPAP. Then it's safe to sleep a deeper sleep.

Susan,
I would think that any pain meds would have worn off by the time you go to bed. I had some root canal work done a few years ago and once they get the root out, there's no more pain (from the tooth).....and the Novocain wore off in a relatively short period of time.
Good luck.
