Now United Healthcare doesn't even post a schedule. Not a very helpful website.

As I understand it, Obamacare outlawed pre-existing condition exclusions so you should be good to go as soon as your insurance goes into effect. Just to err on the side of caution though, double-check with HR (you don't have to tell them what the claim is for, just ask if there's a pre-x exclusion.

Good luck!

Note that your company uses these companies to manage their health care, an what its covered and at what levels etc are the plan your company contacted with them for. Your company plan with XYZ healthcare can be quite different coverage than another employer using the same XYZ healthcare.

Hence, the plans and coverages can be quite different even though it is the same healthcare provider.

Original post was in 2012, before pre-existing conditions were permitted for insurance abuses.
This was one of the earliest moves of Obamacare, a blessing for many, but not the insurance companies,
It could go away if the conservative agenda is realized in full.

Disposables are replaced the same as Medicare's replacement schedule. Machines are replaced based on the specific policy you have.

Every employer plan is different.
Your employer may have bought a plan that covers even LESS than Medicare.
It all depends on how much your employer chooses to spend.
Some may only cover what they are FORCED to do by law.
Most insurance companies offer different levels of coverage, to serve their real masters.
