Hi There
I know it could change, but just wanted to share the good news that the machine worked the first night for me. It took me a while to fall asleep, but once asleep (midnight) I slept straight through to 6am. No tossing and turning, no headache and it doesn't hurt behind my eyes, no dizziness, and loads of new found energy this morning! I don't even think I will need a nap today. I am soooo thankful to have found my CPAP therapy and this forum! Hopeful it continues to work!!!!!!!

Congratulations. Welcome to Hose-ville.
Please fill in your equipment--text, as opposed to pictures, so we can quickly offer advice with any issues that come up.
Others will urge you to get an Autoset, if you can; I advise it, too.
Leak data can be essential to effective treatment, but Escapes do not have it.
They tried to sell me an Escape, but I got an Elite; bought the Autoset out of pocket--online. (way less $$)
If you have any mask issues, there are a ton of them out there; --your supplier may not even 'know' about.

Re: First Night success with S9 Escape Auto
Please clarify equipment choice.
You mention S9 Escape Auto yet your machine choice is for the S9 Escape...they are 2 different machines.
The Escape offers only hours of use on that SD card. Used to satisfy insurance requirements. No way to know anything about your treatment except how many hours of use and you supply the how you feel part.
No leak data..no nothing else.
The Escape Auto..doesn't off the full data that other models do offer but it does have AHI and pressure averages available. That is all it offers though.
SleepyHead software will work with this machine as well as ResScan software.

This is fantastic.
It took me a few nights to work up to this level. Once I slept through the night with CPAP, I woke up stiff the next morning. Then I realized that it was the first time in 20 years that I slept in one position without moving for 6 hours. It was amazing to me to wake up in the same spot in the bed where I went to sleep. I didn't know that normal people slept that way.

They don't. You'll probably have some aches and pains as you get used to sleeping well again. Like you, I started out falling asleep and awakening in the same position, and ended up with shoulder and back pain from the effects of not moving around. But after some time I realized that I was moving around again, though I wasn't aware of it. Now I'm aware that I awaken briefly to roll over, adjust the hose and then fall back to sleep. From my data I can see that takes only ten seconds or so, and then my breathing pattern resumes the sawtooth pattern, indicating sleep.
