Can you Cheat a spleep apenia test?
Re: Can you Cheat a spleep apenia test?
49er,
I am a long time sufferer of both major depression and anxiety. I have been off and on several antidepressants over the last 20years, and I know the effects of sudden withdrawal. I was also married to a person with bipolar illness, and my MIl who was either bipolar or schizophrenic, often went off her medications, lived with us. In addition, I live in an area of high homelessness, and frequently see reports of persons who have elected not to continue their medications.
I did not say that Jr was in withdrawal from stopping needed medications, I joked he was off them. No, i do not know if Jr was ever on or off medications, but that is my interpretation of the irrationality of posted rant.
Sorry if I trod on your sensitivities, that's the way public forums work, we all have opinions, and sometimes they are not congruent with others.

Re: Can you Cheat a spleep apenia test?
Instead of trying to cheat the test, follow a simple diet...
My wife and I started a ketogenic diet (High Fat, Mid Protein, Low Carb) on New Years this year... I'm down just over 50 pounds so far (from 286 to 235 so far!). Before you ask the obvious questions- no, my cholesterol has not gone up (in fact, my overall cholesterol is a little on the low side, mostly because working two jobs means I have little time for proper exercise). My Complete Blood Panel came back basically perfect. My wife, a Type 2 diabetic, has gone from an average A1C of around 9 to 5.6 (which is almost normal for a non diabetic)...
the diet is really simple - you limit yourself to less than 25 net carbs a day. Net carbs means total carbs minus sugar alcohol and fiber, so if you eat something (say a low-carb tortilla) that has 24 grams of carbohydrate, but 18 of them are fiber, it is effectively 6 grams of carbohydrate.
You get the bulk of your caloric intake from healthy fats and proteins - if you like bacon, you are in luck (bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are amazing!) - the hardest part is the first week or so, as your body adjusts from burning Carbohydrate for energy and instead starts utilizing fats (which is what helps promote weight loss - you are already burning fats so your body has no issues utilizing stored fat). Additionally, it is actually difficult to overeat - you would be amazed how calorie-dense high carbohydrate foods are (such as pasta and bread), yet they leave you feeling hungry again not long after eating! Meanwhile, fat and protein keeps you full and satisfied, plus the foods you will be eating have a much higher nutritional value, whereas grains (especially bleached white grains and starches) are quite lacking in terms of nutrition per calorie.
I recommend it to anyone who is looking to shed a few pounds without a lot of time to dedicate to working out!
Obviously, a little exercise is still needed, but that should be a given no matter what.

Wow, you people have some nerve to judge someone for how he should lose weight & tell him your idiotic opinions. Id love to see how healthy all of you are as well as everything else you put in your body. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I needed help losing weight (I didnt do lap band but used another medical way and had to pay out if pocket while having the best insurance possible.)
I was looked down upon by overweight people, negative people who abused theor bodies with everything from cigarettes to alcoholics and so many more idiots like you guys that have the AUDACITY TO TELL HIM HOW AND WHAT HE SHOULD DO TO LOSE WEIGHT. AS FOR INSURANCE , IF ANY OF YOU HAVENT HAD INSURANCE ISSUES ABOUT EVERY LIL THING THAT THEY MAKE YOU DO, as well as making you jump through hoops just for minor things to get their help after paying a good amount of money each month to be insured, THAN YOU ARE ALL LYING, IGNORANT, IDIOTS OR PROBABLY DONT EVEN HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE. YOU GUYS DISGUST ME.

Diana...You have come to the right place. Sounds like your sleep problem is causing extreme sensitivity and emotional distress.dianarocky32 wrote:Wow, you people have some nerve to judge someone for how he should lose weight & tell him your idiotic opinions. I remember being that angry.
But my brother-in-law passed away.
He was a roaring, ugly drunk--and he ruined every family gathering by getting plastered
and speaking his very tiny mind.
The only exceptions were his mother's funeral---and his . . .

Sounds like a "rare" side effect of some iffy drug.
