Pressure Setting on Remstar Pro C-Flex +

Post by woodsman316 » Tue May 01, 2012 6:15 am

I've been on cpap for about 11 years using a basic Remstar Plus. I used my first machine for around 8 years before it malfunctioned and it was replaced with a used identical machine. At this time, my insurance is very bad with a very high deductable so I try to work around it when possible. I found a almost new Remstar Pro C-Flex + (Model DS450S) on Craig's List for a very good price and purchased it. This really seems like a nice machine, I'm really looking forward to trying all the new features after using a basic cpap for all these years. Now I need to reset the the cm H20 pressure to match my old machine. Does anyone know how I can do this myself?

on the machine scroll down to setup hold the center button and the ramp button down at the same time till you hear a beep
this will put you in the doctors menu then go to setup again and press the control wheel in from here you can change the pressure
kind regards chantilly

There is a link to click on that page where you can request a pdf copy of the Clinician's Manual to be emailed to you.

Is this a PR System One machine? Sort of silver and gray?
If so it should have a SD card in back and you can use SleepyHead software to evaluate your therapy if you want to. I have links to it in my signature.
You will want to reset the therapy hours to zero so that the previous owners data doesn't get mixed in with your data.

Check your Private message box for a link to get the provider manual.

Thanks for the software suggestion. This sounds very interesting, as soon as things get settled with the new machine, I'll download SleepyHead and give it a try.

I just purchased the AutoIQ and used the AutoIQ for one night. Amazing machine so far. However, I went to try the reset and did a reset under Therapy in the Clinicians Menu. The machine still tells me only 29 days are left for the AutoIQ instead of resetting to a full 30. I would love to use longer trials (7-14 days) but don't want to burn them up so quickly.

Any suggestions?

I think/hope Pugsy can help answer this question for you so I'm giving it a bump as this is the very 0 Hour machine I have on backup for when I have to return my current APAP to the DME which they have kindly loaned me whilst my insurance and doctor play tag trying to get me approved for coverage.

Sounds like the reset didn't take for some reason. Did you wait to hear the beep? It takes 5 to 10 seconds.
