Need help to upload to Photobucket
Need help to upload to Photobucket
I use to be able to upload to Photobucket easily before my computer crashed. I get nothing when I click upload in Photobucket. I don't get the option to upload to my album. In fact I have nothing in my album, according to Photobucket, even after I click on upload. I tried it with both IE and Mozilla Firefox as my browsers. Thanks.

Photobucket album won't be empty...are you sure you are logged into your Photobucket account?
With a computer crash and subsequent getting it back up and running the cookies that normally would direct your to your own Photobucket account will be gone and you will have to log back in.
The computer crash has nothing to do with your Photobucket account and if you aren't seeing your previous images (and we know they were there) then you aren't in your own account and that may explain why you aren't getting the normal upload prompt.

Re: Need help to upload to Photobucket
I've been having problems too lately after using it for a few weeks without difficulty. Their website may be experiencing some bugs and the latest issue of Adobe Flash player is known to have introduced compatibility problems in case you downloaded it. I found a work-around by clicking on and downloading Photobucket's 'Bulk Uploader' under Tools. Be sure you also have Java downloaded and installed. It's needed for Photobucket to work right. Hope this pans out for you.

Re: Need help to upload to Photobucket
If you are logged in and still nothing shows up....then you may need to update all those things that Papit mentioned. When a computer crashes a lot of stuff has to be reinstalled or updated after the computer is brought back to life.
AdobeFlashPlayer
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Java..this link tests the version and will prompt for update if you don't have the latest.
http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
I used Photobucket just a little while ago and I had no issues with it.

I went into my Programs and Features and I have these installed: Java(TM)6update31...Adobe Flash Player 11 Active X.....Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin....Adobe Reader 8.1.0Pugsy wrote:If you are logged in and still nothing shows up....then you may need to update all those things that Papit mentioned. Shouldn't Photobucket work with these?
When I hover over to where it says to upload to the name of my album, I get a pop-up (in lower left corner) saying ...javascript:void(1): And when I hover over the others such as Facebook, I get a pop-up (in ower left corner) saying...javascript:void(0): I tried downloading javascript and was not successful.

Re: Need help to upload to Photobucket
Adobe Reader is not needed for Photobucket.
If you go to the links I posted they actually test to make sure you have the latest version installed AND working properly of Java and Flash Player. I don't know if the versions you list are the latest ...from a glance they appear to be but they may not be working properly and it is easy to test to see if they are working properly.
If they are working properly and are the latest versions and Photobucket still won't do what it is supposed to do then I am out of ideas. Something is not clicking with the Photobucket account if you can't see your prior album. The album doesn't disappear. Now Photobucket might be experiencing a problem...I can't say that they aren't but I am not having any issues with them.
You might try creating a new Photobucket account and see what happens then.
Otherwise I am pretty much out of ideas and we have to wait for others with additional computer experience to offer their thoughts.
Is there a support line for Photobucket where you could ask them?

Re: Need help to upload to Photobucket
I was in touch with them for days. They couldn't help me at all. They gave up. They should've been able to solve this, I would think. I hate to give up but I guess it's useless to pursue any further. Thanks Pugsy. Thanks Papit.Pugsy wrote:Adobe Reader is not needed for Photobucket.

Re: Need help to upload to Photobucket
There are other photo hosting websites besides Photobucket that are free.
I am not familiar with any of them but not everyone here uses Photobucket.
You might try one of the other sites.
