Thanks for the tips, need more help please

Post by need2snooze » Sat Apr 28, 2012 6:52 pm

Finally, last night I got a good night's sleep. It was the first in many, many nights. I went from the Quattro mask (with its many leaks) back to the Mirage mask (with the belly air issue). But I took the advice of several on this forum and taped my mouth shut with 2" blue painter's tape. It worked! Also, I used the Ruby chinstrap. I actually slept for 8 hours and woke up only once. Wow! Now, I need some help. I felt good when I woke up, but started to feel sleepy again around noon. I really wanted to lie down and rest but just have not had the time today. Is there any truth to having a sleep deficit, as I have been lacking some serious good sleeping for many nights. Can someone look at my Sleepyhead data and see if you see anything fixable? This is my first time trying to post my Sleepyhead data, so I hope I'm doing it correctly.

Yes, you need time to recover from the damage done by low O2 and lack of sleep that rebuilds your body.
It can take weeks. The first month on cpap I slept 10-12 hours solid every night. Probably for the first time in my life I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. That wore off after my body got caught up.

I can't see your report...it wants me to log in.

When I first started therapy I had some pretty marked improvements in the usual no more nocturia and no more morning killer headaches and I did feel better overall but the daytime sleepiness still persisted..but even it was improved because instead of getting up at 6 AM and feeling an extreme need to nap at 9 AM...the need to nap came a bit later than the day.

We want to have those Eureka mornings that others have but those are really rare and most of us don't have them. Sometimes it does just take some time and sometimes there are other issues messing with us that the machine doesn't fix because it isn't designed to.
I actually never saw the need to nap ease up remarkably until I tried the BiPap. I don't know why it did the trick but the results were immediate. So for 2 1/2 years I had great numbers and felt better but I still would often have an extreme need to nap in the afternoon. I would try to avoid it though because if I got much of a nap then I was wide awake at 1 AM.

For your report viewing ...if you will use the IMG brackets instead of the URL brackets..we can see the image without having to click on a link that wants us to log in and I can't.
Just click on the IMG brackets and insert the url address of the image between the brackets.

In most photo hosting sites there are different addresses to be used under different situations.
I am not familiar with what you are using but normally you find the url address associate with your image and copy it...then paste it between the IMG brackets. I use Photobucket and it offers different addresses and I just copy the IMG address because it already includes the brackets.

Here is an image of what I choose from when I post an image here. I use the last line but the others can be used also..just a bit differently.

Pugsy-I see exactly what you are talking about and I think that's what I'm doing. But it's not working. I'm using Flickr. There is an option to use the HTML/BBCode link, also. Maybe I"ll give that a try. I wish I could just attach the screenshot and be done with it. Thanks for your help.

If I had a working link to the image itself..I could fix it here to show up but I can't get past the log in thing.

I just changed the login to allow "everyone". See if that helps.

Okay...now go fix the link to the way you had it before and I will check it out. Right now it just shows "image"

Ugh! It looks fine in my "Preview" before I hit "Submit", but then I see it changes to that dreaded question mark. I'll keep working on it. So sorry!!

If you right-click on the question mark, you can open the image in another window. That's all I have figured out so far.

Definitely rejoice that youre making progress! Sure, there are going to continual setbacks. This disease is not for anybody who's weak mentally.

Trust your body. If your system is working, your 02 is correct, then by all means possible keep sleeping. You body and mind will tell you when you've
had enough. All of us know that before 0sa we would catch up on sleep periodically.

For me especially in college id run on five hours alll week and then nap half the day on sunday. Its perfectly normal.
