Imagine my surprise when checking the data Sunday morning to find my max pressure was 18.50! The average was 13.00, which is inline with my prescription. The 95% was 15.00. My AHI was good at 0.70. Typically I am under 1, almost always under 2 and have seen 4.xx only twice.
The next night results were: Average = 12.50, 95% = 14.00, Max = 17.10, AHI = 1.33.
Night 3 came back at: Average = 14.1, 95% = 16.00, Max = 17.50, AHI = 0.71.
From what I've read
Last night the pressure seemed higher at the start. I wondered whether this was because I had gotten acclimate to the lower limit while set in AutoIQ to 10 or whether the pressure was actually higher. Checking the data this morning told the story. I was 15cmH2O all night with an AHI of 1.15. As near as I an figure 15 is 90% of the average max of the three nights. There was something in the setup “A-Check Pressure 90% (4.0 – 20.0)”The Auto-Trial phase gathers information and based on what it learns, it then sets a fixed pressure and converts to the Auto-Check phase. The Auto-Check then checks back every 30 hours just to see if the therapy pressure it established is still on track. If not, the device will automatically adjust to obtain an ideal pressure.
In straight CPAP mode Respironics does not report Flow Limitations or Vibratory Snores. There is a secondary snore reported but I haven't figured out how they differ. I note this because night one my pressure peaked within half an hour of retiring, largely due Vibratory Snores, 6 of them. There were also 3 OAs and one Flow Limitation, but the greatest rise was from the VS. There were also 8 VS2s in that span.
So now I am in Auto-Check mode, To be reevaluated in 30 hours? Is that 30 hours of hose time or calendar time? I'm guessing the former. Averaging about 7.7 hours a night, I suspect there may be a change in pressure some time Friday morning or Saturday night.
How long does Auto-Check last? Until I manually set it to off or is there a built-in limit?
Has anybody else experimented with this feature?
