OMG SB - so it's not so rare then!! I was itching to ask the DME girl if that was something they see on a regular basis, but felt I had already overstepped the line with even seeing and hearing this event.

Re: Cleaning
I've noticed that the nasal pillows are getting really squishy after only a couple of weeks. I'm thinking it might be from the baby shampoo I've been using to clean them. Don't know for sure... but, something is different. Might just start using a little vinegar and warm water.

Re: Cleaning
You, sir, are a genius. I happen to have a bottle of Glenfiddich in the freezer (try it!) and I shall give that a try soon!Rick B wrote:I wnet through all of the regime of cleaning for awhile when I first started CPAP. Now, I just use distilled water in the humidifier (78 cents/gal. at Walmart). Clean the mask with baby shampoo after every gallon or two of distilled water and let it air dry. For germ control I have been considering alcohol in the humidifier, perhaps Glen Livett?
Who am I kidding! I'll just "rinse" the humidifier thusly, pouring the used liquid into the proper receptacle (the one of southcentrally facial placement) before the nightly filling with distilled water.
BTW, seeing that you reside in Nevada - have you noticed that many Vegas casinos are using obnoxious "aromatherapy" concepts - but that a couple of them have selected a scent reminiscent of Jack Daniels?
