a question. By the way, this forum is extremely helpful- thanks to all who participate!
After I get my CPAP machine, about how many night (how long) should it take before I start to feel, as my doctor said, "110%" better?
Thanks-
Rich
Will be getting my first CPAP machine and . . .
as little as 1.
my three (3) hours (hrs) of deep sleep at the sleep study were the BEST three hours sleep, and the best night's sleep in YEARS! (yrs) I felt refreshed and full of energy on just THAT! Needless to say, with 6-7 hrs of APAP in a night, I leap over tall buildings on my way to work every morning and feel GRRRRRRRREAT !

Having said that, I should also mention that my first night on the APAP machine with a new and different mask (swift) and not really knowing how to use it, was an unmitigated DISASTER. It took some getting used to, and LOTS of advice from folks on this forum.
(Thanks again people!)

He who dies with the most masks wins.
Rich,
It depends on the person....age, how severe and how long you've been suffering from OSA, and other factors.
You MAY start to feel better from the start. Realistically, it can take weeks to months. If you were experiencing daytime sleepyness, that may go away fairly quickly and then take a little longer to get some "energy" back.
Do whatever it takes to be compliant and get lots of sleep with your new "bed partner". Read and participate in this forum and keep us informed how you're doing.
Best wishes,
Den
