A Personal Note and Thank You
Howdy,
My best friend is currently serving in Iraq. It has been a difficult time for my friends and family. It has also divided my focus, which is why you do not see as many posts from me these days. I only have time to lurk.
No matter how you fall politically it does not change that fact that thousands apon thousands of people are over there risking their lives on a daily basis. Each and every one of them would rather be safe at home with their families as we are, but instead they believe in freedom so deeply that they are willing to purchase it for you and I with their own lives. To me that is an awesome act for which I am deeply thankful.
If you've purchased from cpap.com in the last year, I want you to know you've been involved in supporting a great group of guys and in supporting something you don't hear about in the news, the building of trust and goodwill between Iraqis and Americans. You've helped purchase candy for Iraqi children, support the families of those injured, books and DVDs for the soldiers, and most recently and comfortably, a nice soft pair of non-standard issue "made for humans to walk in" boots. I recently was sent a very nice picture and I'd like to share with you all:

Sorry in advance for the off topic post. Thank you again, sincerely and truly, for your support and business. We can't do it without you.

Johnny,
Thanks for the update on your generous efforts to support our soldiers in Iraq. I know if it were me, I would very much appreciate receiving those simple items that we all have come to expect, but are rare luxuries in a war zone.
For those who are interested, I've posted below, a link to a Tribute Video from the Funeral of a young Soldier, local to me, who paid the price of our freedom with his life. Our good friend had the honor of serving his family and passed along this video. It's VERY inspirational!

Thank you, Johnny. I am a liberal who supports our troops and apprciates the high cost of sacrifice these men and women have made in the name of our country.
One of my classmates has been part of CentCom and I have learned the tremdous valor of so many who have given up jobs, family and the security of living in the US to help the Iraqi people build a better life for themselves. Though we are politically opposite from one another, we share the dream of a better Iraq and I admire his devoition to this ideal.
Thanks for making my purchases at cpap.com help in some way to alleviate the burden of the war.

Johnnygoodman, thanks for offering you take! As Goofproof says "been there done that". I think there is something really special about someone that takes an oath to defend the nation and constitution. Then gets a task assigned to them by someone they do not know and may not even like. Yet they take on the job and do their best. They place their faith in their god, unit peers, training, friends and family. They believe and even know that the person they work with side by side will do extrodinary things when the time comes. What they do not know is that sometimes they are the one who does the extrodinary thing. There is one political action that I wish every U.S. citizen would take. That is to not allow the politicians to make any more cuts to the V.A., without providing an alternative.

Thanks to you!
Johnny,
I didn't think I could feel any better about buying from y'all - the forum saved us from making so many mistakes, your staff was fantastic in helping us, you got the apap to us in a matter of hours - but, you did it! I feel even better about our purchase. Dh is a former AF officer and I'm delighted to know you are helping out the heroes in Iraq. May God protect them and bless them - and bring peace and freedom to Iraq.

troop support
Thank you so much for the gifts you send to the troops. My brother is in the same troop and I'm sure he appreciates the new boots. We send small items to them but the more pricey items, I am unable to send. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. My brother and the other troops deserve the best we can supply. Again Thank you!
THANK YOU! I have to tell you how much you are appreciated here. I am new to cpap and can't tell you how much not only this forum helps me but now knowing all that you do for our troops! I watched one of the videos and I was sobbing by the end. I will have to watch the rest at selective times. Thanks again for all you do.
Susan
thank you!!!
When my husband told me a couple of weeks ago that someone had bought them all new boots, and especially Oakley boots, I was quite suprised. I wondered to myself who could this person be that would spend their own hard earned money on boots, not just for my husband, but for an entire platoon. I am impressed by your ability to give to others and your unselfishness. You are an example of a great American along with our troops over there. Thank you from my family and especially my husband.
