I have been using an S8 with built in humidifier for the past 5 years. I have to run the humidity as high as I can for sleep comfort. Some nights, especially in the summer with the A/C on, the hose fills with water and starts gurgling. I grab the hose by my mask and lift it higher than the CPAP machine and the water trickles back down into the humidifier and all is well. Hose connects on the top of an S8 machine.
I am planning to upgrade to an S9 Autoset with humidifier next month. I read that someone complained that if water built up and he lifted the hose the water would leak back down the inside side of the humidifier chamber and then leak out on to the night stand or into the blower portion of the S9???
I am not sure how well the inside of the humidifier is connected to the air output pipe on the back of the S9?
Anybody have this problem?????
I sure would like to take advantage of the CSA Events capture of the newer S9 machines.
Thanks...............

Re: Resmed S9 Rainout leakage?
The S9 has the heated Climateline hose option. Been using it since early February. I like a cold bedroom and a high high setting for lots of moisture. I have had zero rain out issues with the ClimateLine hose.
I read what you read from the one person who had some leakage issues. This is not the norm. I haven't seen anyone else with leakage issues and there are a lot of S9 users here.

I am going to try and "push" my Sleep Doctor to recommend the Climate control hose on my prescription.
