HELP! SLEEPHEAD PROBLEM

Post by macewa » Sun Mar 18, 2012 7:26 pm

I have not been able to pull the data from last night and am freaking out. Scares me how dependent I have become on SleepyHead. My card has lots of room on it so its not full. But when I tried to make that drive on my computer a new location it says no data at thatlocation. What can I do? I cannot image not knowning how I'm doing each night, especially since I haven't found my numbers yet. Input greatly appreciated. EDIT: I have already turned off/unplugged the BiPap machine, reinserted card and actually started up the machine just in case that would help. With computer I have turned it off and restarted also. Wondering if I should just redownload the SleepyHead program? EDITED: I checked the card in the machine and it says it has 99% free. Does that sound right for almost 7 months worth of data?

When you tried to create a new location did you go to just the Drive letter where the SD card is? or did you go to the SD card itself and the P Series folder? If anything but the drive letter is in the box...you have gone too far.

No, I just went to the drive. I learned not to go into the file when I first downloaded.

Then I don't know what else to offer.
Sometimes SleepyHead "forgets" where to find the drive and we have to tell it again with a new location.
I have had that happen a couple of times. All I did was create a new location and it worked.
You can check the card to make sure the new files are there. I can't imagine that they would not be there.

If everything else fails perhaps a fresh install of SleepyHead is in order. If using the new Beta version it will require uninstall of the program AND manual removal of the SleepApp folder in My Documents or it won't install. The Beta version will work along side the older version but it won't work along side of another Beta version.

I tried to set a new location and it just said no data was found there. I don't know how to check to see if data is on my card. There are files but which one holds data?

You probably already know this, but just to check.....

The PR systems write the data from the previous night to the card around midday. I notice your first post was 11:26 am. If you have not already, put the card back in power up and give it a chance to write to the card. Then try again.

The data does not take up much space so 99% free with 7 months worth of data may not be a problem.

The PR S1 machine writes the data directly to the SD card immediately upon shutting off the machine in the morning. I have watched it do it and checked my reports within minutes of seeing the machine do its thing with the SD card.

The Noon thing is for updating the LCD screen data and it is for Noon GMT time. The Machines LCD screen will not reflect last night's data until Noon GMT time.

There are several folders on the SD card.. main folder is the P Series folder. Data is in a sub folder and on a new machine will likely be named P0 series. The data files start with a P0xxxxx number thing and end with either .001 .002 or .005 extensions. The most recent P0xxxxx file will have the highest number as they progressively go upwards in number till the file gets too large then they start with a new sub folder with P1 on the name.
The date the folder is modified means the date it was created...written to the SD card. Today is March 19 so last nights data will have a file folder with March 19 as modified date.

If no data on the SD card...make sure it has not had the write protect thing switched over to read only. Make sure card gets full inserted into the machine and watch to see that the cpap machine responds by recognizing the card. If SleepyHead can't find the SD card..create a new location and try again. If there is data on the SD card...SleepyHead will find it if the navigation points correctly.
