Respironics Encore Smartcard?

Post by bigfoot » Fri Mar 16, 2012 2:51 pm

I just received my new Respironics BiPAP autoSV ADVANCED machine and it appears to have some kind of "non-standard" memory card called "Encore Smartcard". Can anyone tell me if (and how) I can get the data from this memory card and move it to my PC and the SleepHead software?

Requires a Mako DT3500 Card Reader. This is an older machine. There may be some folks here that have moved up to the newer machines that all seem to all use the SD card, might have one that they are not using any more.

This machine is the older model. If you were given this machine you were given older technology machine. This machine was discontinued last summer.

It requires this smart card.https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... -card.html
And this card reader..to use the software (Encore Pro or Encore Viewer only....will not work with SleepyHead) https://www.cpap.com/productpage/Respir ... r-USB.html

This is the latest model https://www.cpap.com/productpage/PR-Sys ... anced.html.. It has the regular SD card and you can use SleepyHead or Encore Pro 2.5 with it. Older Encore Pro versions as well as Encore Viewer will NOT work with the new machine.

If you were given the older model...I would be asking for the latest model if it were me. It gathers more data..like clear airway (centrals). The old technology machine had not been improved on in probably 5 years. There never was a M series model of this machine.

Send me a private message if you want to try Encore...I need to know exactly which machine you do have and if your computer is 32 or 64 bit. If you do have the older machine and end up keeping it...let me know and I can help with using Encore...and using the DT3500 card reader. No other reader will work. I do know a source that only costs $40 though.

Thanks for the info Pugsy. I am going to see what my DME has to say and ask for the new model. If I get stuck with the old one, I will contact you for the help mentioned in your post and put a strategy together to be able to view my data.....

Great news here. My DME just left a System One BiPAP Auto SV Advanced in exchange for the older BiPAP Auto SV Advanced that she left here last week. The System One machine has the "regular SD memory card" so I can keep using SleepyHead software. I know most people on this forum complain about their DME but this lady did a great job for me. She started looking for ways to get me a System One device as soon as she learned that I wanted to track my therapy/progress with SleepyHead. Thank you all for your responses to my post.
